Description: This new course provides CPAs with detailed guidance on how to prevent, detect, and respond to fraud. Starting with an overview of current fraud statistics, the course then covers the fraud triangle, the fraud diamond, and legal elements of fraud. Numerous case studies will provide tools to identify key risk areas and cost-effective controls to mitigate the risk of fraud. Specific investigative tools include statement analysis, Benford's Law, and other common forensic accounting techniques. Cybersecurity, money laundering, and insurance fraud will also be addressed.
